This is a very drought, disease and insect resistant variety. It adds up to 10 to 15 lbs. of organic matter and carbon to the soil. It’s great for livestock if allowed to grow until the roasting ear stage. It grows very well alongside Red Ripper Peas or Velvet Beans.

It is excellent for fall decorations, wildlife and livestock feed, and many of our neighbors really enjoy the roasting ears.
